RED ARMY COMMAND

RUMOURS OF CHANGES (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, July 25. The Berlin correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says that when ,he left Moscow this morning the capital was full of rumours about drastic changes in the Red Army Command. He adds that the report that Marshal Koniev., has superseded Marshal Zhukov as Commander-in-Chief of the Red Army ground forces and that Zhukov has been relegated to the position of Commander of the Odessa Garrison has not appeared in the Russian newspapers, but there has been no denial of the report that Khukov, when he returned to Moscow from Germany, brought back many of his favourite staff officers, who formed a solid pro-Zhukov military junto within the Kremlin. These staff officers are no longer seen in Moscow but Zhukov has been seen in Odessa.
