ADDRESS-IN-REPLY DEBATE BILLS TO BE INTRODUCED (From Our Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, July 9. The Address-in-Reply debate will be resumed in the House of Representatives to-morrow afternoon after the transaction of the usual formal business at the beginning of the sitting. During the tea adjournment the New Zealand branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association will give a reception in honour of two visiting American legislators, Senator iL, Saltonstall, of Massachusetts, and Mr C. Holifield, of California, of the United States House of Representatives, who are among the party visiting New Zealand after attending the atomic bomb tests at Bikini atoH. The Prime Minister, Mr P. Fraser, is expected to take part in the debate on Thursday night. The debate seem% likely to run well into next week. The Factories Bill, a consolidating measure, which will also incorporate a number of recommendations of Dr J. M. Davidson, British industrial hygienist, in his report to Parliament last year, will probably be introduced this week. It is presumed that the Bill will be referred to the Labour Bills Committee. Legislation aimed at more effective control over the Nassella tussock, a noxious weed which has made its appearance in North Canterbury, is also likely to make its appearance this week.
