ANNUAL TOURNAMENT DAY’S HONOURS EVEN (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 9. . The annual athletic tournament between the Christchurch and Dunedin Teachers’ Training Colleges was commenced in Christchurch this morning with swimming events and women’s indoor basketball. Christchurch gained a decisive win in the swimming events gaining 22 points against the 11 scored by Dunedin. At the indoor basketball Dunedin beat Christchurch by 33—15. R. Lascelles ■ Christchurch with 254 points won from Dunedin with 249 points. The best speaker was Miss C. L Sutton, of Dunedin. Tournament Points The tournament points-are: Christchurch 4.
