WOMEN’S SECTION, R.S.A.
Mrs Ericson presided at the monthly meeting of the women's section of the R.S.A. and welcomed Mesdames Fraser, Reid and Ruddenklau (new membeic, Mrs Sparks (who had been absent through sickness), ' Mesdames Little, Young and Fankhurst (convener of the Invercargill women’s section), and Mrs Rawson (a Home bride). Thanks were extended to all who had helped at the nurses’ ball, and to the conveners of the social afternoon when £ll was raised. The following were appointed to pack parcels during July:—Mesdames Ericson, Sparks, Wright, Agnew, Hall and Aitchison. Mesdames Smith and Hall were appointed representatives to the Eveline birthday party. Arrangements for the dance recital bv Miss Rita Millar’s pupils were stated to be well in hand, as also were the arrangements for the home comforts social afternoon. The guest speaker was Padre G. Falloon, who spoke on nis activities among the troops and in England. Mrs Smith proposed a vote of thanks to the speaker. Songs were contributed by Mrs Maynard.
