NEXT CONTESTS 1950 LONDON. July 7. The Minister of National Insurance, Mr James Griffiths, in a speech, after stating that the Government intended to carry on year after year its policy 'of changing Britain’s economic structure, disclosed that Cabinet have already fixed the date of the next election for May 1, 1950.
