ARMED DETECTIVES ON TRAIL (Rec. 10 p.m.) MELBOURNE, July 8.
Armed detectives, hunting the bandit Edward Charles Davis, found a newlyplundered house near Kalorama late last night Four years ago Davis was hunted'for five weeks in South Gippsland by mounted police from 10 towns. On that occasion two constables who subsequently were awarded the police valour badge surprised him in a deserted house in an old mining village. and disarmed him before he could bring his rifle into play.
