Ministerial ? The Minister of Defence, Mr F. Jonei, was engaged in departmental business at the Ministerial rooms at the Chief Post Office yesterday. He will leave this morning by air for Wellington, Messrs H. C. Grace and A. E. Gosden, nostmen-sorters. have received promotion to the position of senior postmen-sorters in the Chief Post Office at Dunedin. Representatives of the business community of South Dunedin last night met Sergeant A. E. Stark, of the South Dunedin Police Station, who has been transferred to Mosgiel, and on their behalf Mr .T. Haig spoke of the esteem in which Sergeant Stark was held in the district The guest of honour was presented with a wallet and a rug for Mrs Stark. Passengers who left for the north, by air yesterday were: Mr J. R. Sutherland. Mrs A. E. Edwards, Mr A. C. Piper, Mrs J. B. McKnight, Miss D. Stand, Mr P. O’Neill, Miss E. Baldwin, Mr B. Brookes.
