PROPOSAL ABANDONED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 8. The council of the New Zealand Golf Association has decided, upon recommendations received from Christchurch and Dunedin, to abandon the proposed match, North v. South, for 1946. It is felt that tlie travelling involved in certain interprovincial matches and the New Zealand championships on October 24 would prevent truly representative teams from being available for the interisland match

The winner of the L.G.U. Match played by the Belleknowes Business Women’s Club on Saturday was Mrs N. Randle. Another good score was returned hy Miss E. Clarke.
