MEETING OF COMMITTEE The condition of the goal posts on the Oval was discussed rt a meeting of the Management Committee of the Otago Football Association last night, when Mr JefferV was in the chair. Mr Woodh.ad stated’ that after a ball had brought down one of the crossbars on Saturday he had inspected the goals and had found them to be nailed together. It was pointed out that a serious, accident could occur if anyone was struck by one of these crossbars. —It was decided to refer the matter to the Reserves Committee, with a request that the crossbars be bolted in place beiore Saturday. ~ A letter was received from the City Council stating that several improvements to the Logan Park grounds would be carried out at the end of the year, and until that time nothing could be done about the lack of amenities.—lt was decided to write to the council asking it to reconsider the matter The University Club wrote expressing its thanks for the valuable lecture delivered bv Mr P. George, and for the appointment of Mr A. B. Smith as coach.
