Poolburn-Moa Creek.—-Mrs L. E. Barrett presided. The motto was: "Contentment is not in having much, but in wanting little,” and the roll call resulted in a large collection of tinned food for Britain The president gave an interesting report on her visit to the conference in Dunedin. Goods on the market table met with a ready sale. Arrangements were made for a collection of fat for Britain at the August meeting. Tokarahi.—Mrs C R. Grant presided. The roll call was “ Bring your personal knitting.” Mrs Gray 'who for some time resided in the Solomon Islands, gave an interesting account of life there. The competitions resulted: Root VegetableMiss McKenzie 1, Mrs J. Grant 2; Miss McLean’s competition—Mrs R. Simpson and Miss Hough (equal) 1. Tuapeka West.—Mrs P. J Fahey presided. The roll call was. “A useful hint, or a new idea.” Mrs Fahey, who represented the branch at the conference, submitted a report of the business and social activities. The competitions resulted' Bloom, Mrs Fahey. The hostesses were Mrs G. R. Young and Miss N. Young.
