EX-PUPILS’ ANNUAL BALL

The Caledonian Club presented a charming setting for the annual ball of the bt Philomena’s College Ex-pupils’ Association Large vases of chrysanthemums decorated the hall and tables. The guests were received by Miss E. Houston (president), wearing a mode) frock of multi-coloured chiffon. She was assisted by Mrs E. Turnbull. in a frock of Cardinal silk crinkled crepe over taffeta, and Mrs Philip Walsh, who chose floral satin with a taffeta coatee. They carried flowers to tone with their frocks Ex-pupils’ associations of other colleges were represented by Miss Lilian Carroll (St. Dominic’s College). Mrs R. E Henderson (Columba College), anc Miss Jeannette Wells (Otago Girls' High School). . Members of the executive present included Mesdames R. 'Casey, A. J. Dowling, G.
