THE GOAL SITUATION

SYDNEY WITHOUT TRAMS (Rec. 7 p.m.). SYDNEY. July 6. About 103,000 tons of coal has been lost by strikes on the New South Wales coalfields in the last four weeks. This figure does not include production lost by absenteeism, mechanical' breakdowns, and funerals. The loss yesterday was 108.560 tons. Sydney is again without tram services over the week-end and trains are running on restricted time tables, but it is considered that no further cuts will be made in the next few days. The position shows little improvement, and the Bunnerong power house is still dependent on coal supplies as they come to hand.
