A VIOLENT CAMPAIGN SEVERAL CASUALTIES (Rec. 1 a.m.) MEXICO CITY, July 7 An electoral commission official was killed and several others were wounded in pre-election shooting at Tlajomulco near Guadalarja. The Mayor of Tjajomulco was wounded in a knile fight. A third clash in which three were wounded is reported in the State of Compeche. The elections are for the presidency and the new Congress, consisting of 174 deputies and 58 senators. A total ot 2.600.000 men are registered to vote The army is guarding the polls to prevent a repetition of the 1940 election shambles, in which 47 were killed and 300 injured.
