NORTHLAND PROPOSALS
BOARD DEFERS DECISION (P.A.) WHANGAREI, June 12. With one dissentient, the Mangonui Hospital Board at a special meeting yesterday, deferred decision on the hospital amalgamation proposals of the Minister of Health, Mr A. H. Nordmeyer. until a decision is reached by Parliament on the report of the Select Committee on local body reform. The board also recorded its opinion that any forther conference of the six northern boards shoold be postponed until the Select Committee report has been dealt with.
