SUICIDE DISCOUNTED
KING OF SIAM’S DEATH
POLICE REPORT ISSUED (Rec 10 p.m.) BANGKOK. June 11. The police have issued a detailed report to “ stop ill-considered rumours.” They reiterated that the King’s death was accidental and said that the stationing of guards made it impossible for an intruder to have entered the room. The position of the wound and the pistol indicated an accident. Many Siamese still say it was suicide, pointing out that the King was not well and was neurotic over the ordeal of facing the public. He also might ha've been worried over a rumoured Swiss love affair.
