TOKARAHI COLLIE CLUB
SUCCESSFUL DOG TRIALS INCREASED ENTRIES With an increase of 28 entries over last year, the Tokarahi Collie Club held a successful dog trial fixture last week. The standard of work was again very high. Fine weather prevailed, and there was an excellent attendance. During the trials, the patron of the club (Mr J. J. Hore) officially opened the new pavilion, and the ladies again assisted with the catering. Mr A. Henderson (Temuka) judged the events, and the sheep were lent by Messrs Simpson Bros. The annual ball was also a successful (unction, and dancing was enjoyed to music supplied by Crump’s Orchestra. The winners of the novelty dances were Miss A. "Murray and Mr M. Greaney, Miss N. Cant and Mr J McLean. Mr D. Wilson carried out the duties of M.C., and extras were played by Miss V Hore.
