WOMEN’S CLUB
The Literary Circle of the Otago Women’s Club' held the first meeting of the year on Tuesday evening, Miss Grace Farnie presiding. Miss Annabelle McDougall had arranged a “ book evening, and the members reviewed the following books:—"'The Amazing Amazon (Brown), Mrs E. J. Anderson; The Young Ambassadors ’ (Angela Pelham). Miss M. Ross: " Green Dolphin Countiy (Elizabeth tioudge), Mrs J. Malcolm, “ Rrnvp Dsvs New Zcalsncl Pioneer Women.” Mrs Gerald Lane; ” Unforgettable and Unforgotten (Anna ,Buchan), Mrs Stewart; "Persian Mosaic (Harold Lamb). Mrs V. E. Galway; Anna and the King of Siam” (Margaret Lendon). Mis N Ellis; “Letters of J. B. Yeats to His Son and Others,” Miss A. McDougall. Mrs Wakefield Holmes proposed a vote of thanks to the speakers.
