OBITUARY
MRS M. J. MALCOLM 1
The death of Mrs Mary Jane Malcolm, of Nen street, Oamaru, in her eighty-first year, removed an old resident of the Enfield district Mrs Malcolm was a daughter of Mr and Mrs John Elder, of Roxburgh, where she was born. In her early life she resided with her aunt, Mrs H. McKay, of Kakanui, and in 1888 married the late Mr Alexander Malcolm, of Enfield. Of a kindly and .unassuming nature, she endeared herself to a wide circle of friends, who will remember her hospitality' and thoughtfulness. •' Mrs Malcolm was predeceased by her husband in 1918, by a son, Lieutenant G. Malcolm, in 1918, and by her eldest son, Alexander, in 1 1934. She is survived by one daughter. Mrs M. Mclntyre, and four sons—Messrs John (Ranfurly), William and Donald (Enfield), and Andrew (Windsor).
