ICE SKATING RINK
OFFERED TO THE PUBLIC (P.A.) TIMARU, Feb. 4. The Mount Harper ice skating rink offered to the people of South and Mid-Canterbury by the owner, Mr W. Barker, through the Timaru Physical Welfare branch of the Internal Affairs Department comprises six acres of ice rinks, two acres being reticulated with electricity, a house, restaurant, bunkhouse, electric power plant, and a three-acre subsistance farm. It is in the Upper Rangitata Valley, about 70 miles from Timaru. At a public meeting held last night a committee was appointed to consider taking over the management.
