TRAVEL CLUB
An entertaining account of some of ins experiences relating to the . lighter side of the war in Italy were given on Wednesday morning to members of the Travel Club by Major Maurice Joel. Mr W. R. Brugh presided, and, on behalf of members, extended a special welcome to Mr 3 R. Hudson, the lady persident. Guests welcomed included Mesdames L. Davis, H. Webster, Watchlin, F. W. Gowing, L. Martin, James Thompson, and Miss Lena Hendra (Auckland), Mesdames J. Walker, E. L. Maclean, R. Dunpace, and Miss G. Crust (Wellington), Miss Elizabeth Spring (Ballarat). Mrs E. Robertshaw (Sydney), Mesdames John Mechen, and Annas Gale (Christchurch), Mrs H. Heenan (Ashburton), Miss Williamson (Queenstown), Mrs W. Fraser (Oamaru), Mrs Scott (Gisborne), Mrs T. Reid (New Plymouth), Mrs M. Marshall (Invercargill), Miss K. Baldwin (Gore), and Wing Commander L. Joel.
