GOVERNOR ASSUMES DUTIES (Rec. 11.15 p.m.) COLOMBO, Jan. 7. The post of commander-in-chief, Ceylon, ended to-day with the’termination of the appointment of Lieutenantgeneral H. Wetherall. The Governor, Sir Henry Monck-Mason, has taken over his duties.
