The Board for the Co-ordination of Malarial Studies announced the development of a new synthetic drug “SN 7618," whcih is supposed to be superior to atabrin or unidine in the treatment of malaria, and also stated that another new drug offers definite promise of being the long sought actual cure for relapsing malaria with which many returning servicemen are afflicted. Neither drug is yet available to the public, while the second drug is still in the early stages of experimentation.
