General MacArthur has ordered the Japanese Government to purge from public office and the Government all who helped to lead Japan to war. In two far-reaching directives which pick up where the war criminal lists leave off, he ordered the Government to abolish all ultra-nationalist terrorist., and militarist groups and societies, and remove from office “ all persons who deceived and misled the Japanese people into embarking on world conquest.”
