GARSON-PIDGEON FILM The new Melro-Goldwyn-Mayer picture, “Mrs Parkington,” which, has been showing to packed houses at the Regent Theatre during the past week, commenced an extended season yesterday. Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon, and an outstanding sunpport ing cast, bring the best-selling Louis Blom field novel to the screen with zest and great vigour. As the dynamic Mi’s Parkington, Miss Garson makes a complete change from the studious and conservative women she played in previous succeses. Pidgeon, in this film, portrays a reckless, ambitious, and flamboyant mam a far cry from his Mr Miniver or Pierre Curie.
