OCTAGON THEATRE

GRACIE FIELDS COMEDY The inimitable Grade Fields is teamed again with Monty Woolley in “ Molly and Me.” which began a season at the Octagon Theatre yesterday. In “ Molly and Me ” Grade Fields is the Grade Fields the whole civilised world knows and loves. For, in addition to the fine dramatic talent she revealed in “Holy Matrimony,”.in her current film Gracie is given full rein as the fabulous comediennesongster that she is. To hear her sing her wonderful songs as she does in the picture is a treat in itself. What this blithe spirit does to scorpiontongued Monty Woolley’s peace of mind when, weary of starving as a musical comedy star “at liberty,” she obtains a job as his housekeeper defies description. Roddy McDowall plays the part of Woolley’s son, and fine portrayals are also given by Reginald Gardiner and Natalie Schafer. The box plans are at the theatre and Begg’s.
