EMPIRE THEATRE

BRIGHT MUSICAL FILM That talent for the stage and screen does run in families is amply illustrated by Marie Lloyd, jun., who appears in the outstanding cavalcade of the London stage, “ Variety Jubilee,” which commenced a season at the Empire Theatre yesterday. Marie Lloyd, jun., portrays her famous mother at the height of her career, and displays the verve and ability that made her mother one of the most outstanding personalities ever to appear on the stage. Not only have the producers re-created the great stars of yesteryear, but they have actually presented in person such stars as George Robey, Charles Coburn, Nat D. Ayer, as well as many of the outstanding personalities of the present-day stage and screen. Box plans are at the theatre and the D.I.C.
