FIRE BRIGADE CALLS
An automatic false alarm to the Corporation carsheds in Princes Street was answered by the Central Fire Brigade at 1.27 p.m. on Saturday. The South Dunedin brigade dealt with a grass lire on the rauway embankment in Wilkie Road at 6.37 p.m. A small rubbish fire under the steps at the Victoria Wharf was extinguished by the Central Brigade at 9.22 p.m.
