THOUSANDS HOMELESS
EARTHQUAKE IN TURKEY PROVINCE OF VAN ROCKED (Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 22. Ten thousand persons are reported to have been rendered homeless by earthquake shocks, which for a month rocked the Turkish province of Van, says Reuter’s Istanbul correspondent. The town of Van is said to be almost a heap of rubble. Two thousand houses collapsed, but the casualties were not heavy.
