NO DIRECT ACTION
THE INDIAN LEADERS ASSURANCE TO VICEROY CALCUTTA, Dec. 13. Mr Gandhi and the Congress leaders are reported fo have assured the Viceroy, Lord Wavell, and the Governor of Bengal, Mr R. G. Casey, during the recent conferences that Congress had no intention of beginning any direct action in the immediate future. The election campaign was at present fully occupying the attention of Congress.
