OTAKI-MAORI MEETING
SONERI IN FAVOUR (Special) WELLINGTON, Dec. 14. Prospects are favourable for the OtakiMaori Racing Club’s summer meeting tomorrow. There has been beneficial rain at Otaki during the past week, and the track is in excellent order and not as firm as some of those experienced lately The division of the Kuku Maiden into two separate races has made an eightrace programme, and the fields are pf a more convenient size than usual, the proximity of the holiday racing having kept them down slightly lower than is usual for this club. . Betting will be win-and-place, and the following horses will be well supported:— 11.15: Tararua High-weight Handicap.— Tid-Apa, Rampant, Merger. 12: Kuku Maiden No. 1.— Frillery, Royal Sward, Dutch Mary. 12.45: Waitohu Handicap.—Peter Robinson, Prince Wheriko, Tahli. 1.30: Raukawa Handicap.—Financial, Alright, Alcyone. 2.15: Kuku Maiden No. 2.—The Stormovik, Gay Flan>e, Fen. 3:'Otaki Handicap.—Soneri, Killarney, Boy. Gay Stroller. ■ ■ 3.45: Huia Handicap—Saludos, Stony Broke, Theiolyn. , ' . 4.30: Te Horo Handicap.—Delinquent, Tifox, Foxella.
