LISHEEN A FORM HORSE The Tapanui meeting, which will be held to-day, once extended to a twoday programme, which made it one of the most popular and enjoyable country fixtures on the calendar. The march of time has deleted many of the country meetings, and those that were held at Queenstown, Naseby and other places, forming the “ Goldfields Circuit,” are only memories of the past. The Tapanui Racing Club was once on the point of extinction, but has survived, while other country clubs have dropped out either by legal restrictions or force of circumstances. The card for to-day will help to revive the interest in racing in the district. The following horses may be amongst those in favour:— 12.30: Trial Handicap.—Young Bob.
