BRITAIN’S FINANCES
DEBIT OF £750,000,000 LONDON. Dec. 12. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr Hugh Dalton, in a written reply in the House of Commons, said the excess debits over credits in the balance of payments of the United Kingdom in 1945 would be £750.000.000. This was exclusive of supplies and services received under lend-lease and Canadian mutual aid and disregarded suoplic? and services furnished to the United States under reciprocal aid and also supplies received after V-J day covered by American credit.
