ARRIVAL OF TWO SHIPS

ANNOUNCEMENT BY MINISTER (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 4. Following on the telegrams already despatched advising next-of-kin that certain troops will arrive shortly, the Minister of Defence. Mr F. Jones, announced to-day that a vessel conveying prisoners of war from Britain will reach Wellington early to-morrow morning. A ship carrying members of the Expeditionary Force irom the Middle East will reach Lyttelton also early to-morrow morning. South Island personnel will be disembarked there, and the steamer will arrive in Wellington with North Island personnel on Thursday morning. In each instance arrangements have been made for the transportation of the troops to their destination as soon as possible after they disembark.
