LOCAL BODY LABOURERS
INCREASES IN WAGES In terms of an order Issued by the Court of Arbitration under the recent amendment to the Stabilisation Regulations, the hourly wage rates of employees under the Dunedin local bodies labourers' award have been increased by 3jd. The new basic rate is now 2s 81d an hour, plus the court’s two cost-of-living bonuses. Meal money has been increased by 3d to Is 9d.
The order is made retrospective to April 1 last.
