LEVY FOR SLAVE WORKERS
HAMBURG PEOPLE'S TASK (Rec. 10.45 p.m.) LONDON, May 19. The commander of the 53rd Welsh Division has increased the levy on the people of Hamburg to include 8,000,000 cigarettes, 20,000 food parcels, 10,000 combs, 1000 mirrors, 100,000 razor blades, 10,000 tubes of tooth paste, 2000 tooth brushes, 1000 hair brushes, 1500 >; scrubbing brushes, 7000 tins of baby food, 2000 baby napkins, 2000 baby bottles, and 500 pairs of hair grips. The British have ordered the employees of a Hamburg cosmetic factcsy • to go all out in the manufacture of lipsticks and face creams for the • “slave women.” '
