QUARTERLY meeting
Mr Ewen Cameron (president) was in the chair at the quarterly meeting of the Oamaru R.S.A. on Saturday night, there being about 80 members present. The meeting unanimously agreed to a motion brought forward by Mr H. P. Kent that the 2s 6d charged in error on membership subscriptions for an enlarged copy of the R.S.A. Review be applied to the clubroom building fund. Mr J. Mayfield's notice of motion that the rules be amended to provide for the election of an executive of 13 members, the executive to appoint the president, vice-president, and treasurer from those elected, lapsed for want of a seconder. A social hour was spent after the meeting a cordial welcome being given to members of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Items were contributed by Messrs J. Mayfield and J. E. McNulty, with Mr J. McMillan at the piano. |
