GIRL GUIDES

Miss J. B. Wilson (Divisional Commander) presided at the monthly meeting of the North Otago Girl Guides’ Association, held recently at Guide headquarters. It was reported that two new companies had been formed recently, one at Kurow and the other at Enfield. During the vacation Guides had attended camps at Dunback, Brighton, and Five Forks. The resignations of Captain J. Gibson (Waitaki Company) and Captain J. Mather (Kia Toa Company) were accepted with regret. Te Puke Company was congratulated on winning the R.S.A. Cup, the Waitaki Company on winning the swimming cup presented by Mrs Meikle. Arrangements were made for the Dominion-wide button drive, when the Scouts will collect the buttons and the Guides will clean, classify, and forward them to headquarters.
