Neither Haughty nor Gold Bar will be sent against time at the Addington meet-' ing. Gold Sheik scored so well at Timaru that he is expected to add to his record at Addington. Since Great Bingen broke 4mtn 20sec for two miles, about 19 years ago, more than 80 pacers have had faster records than that mark. The two-year-old Highland Fling will have another opportunity to-day to give proof of his racing merit. An interesting foal is a bay filly by Josedale Grattan from Josedale” Dawn. Both sire and dam were got by Grattan McKinney. „ Auditress, the dam of the Trotting Cup winner Marlene, has a colt foal at foot by Superior Rank, a son of Jack Potts and the Denver Huon mare Quality. Benghazi, who won the maiden trotting event at New Brighton on Saturday, is related to Impromptu (2min 4 l-ssec). Asset, the dam of Benghazi, is a halfsister to Impromptu. Apparently Doctor Ted is expected to improve on his third., to Highland Fling and Local Gold at Auckland as he has been brought down to meet them again at Addington. Those who remember Air Flow in her racing days will expect something out of the ordinary from her sofi, Aerial Scott, a black colt by U. Scott. Aerial Scott Is engaged in the New Zealand Trotting Stakes. Fantom is reported to be working in great style. In seven starts this season Fantom has scored one win, a second, two thirds, and a fourth. He won in his last start in 4min 33sec in the Rowe Memorial Handicap, run at Auckland. The four-year-old colt Emulous, who is engaged at Addington, has won both his two races this season. He won at Rangiora, and at the Addington SDrino meeting won the Challenge Stakes of 13 furlongs in 3min 38 l-ssec. He was got by Jack Potts—Light Wings, by Peter Chenault.

By March 10 Jack Potts had sired winners of £28,185 this season. Jack Potts is sure to top the list of winning sires for eight consecutive seasons, that is according to the principle adopted in Australia, the United States, ana England. Harold Dillon was on top for five seasons and Logan Pointer for eight seasons, seven of them being consecutive. The first of Springfield Globe’s stock are booked to race at the Addington Easter meeting. One is Globe Direct, from Molly Direct, by Jack Potts—Real Girl, by Real Guy—Tairene, by Wildwood Junior—Jessie B„ by Smith O'Brien. Both sire and dam trace back to the thoroughbred. The other is First Glob . from Lilian Bond, by Worthy Bingen— Yenot, by Harold Dillon from a Rothschild mare. The next dam was got by Young Irvington, a son of Irvington from a thoroughbred mare.
