KING’S v. SOUTHLAND

(Special) INVERCARGILL, Mar. 23. Honours were even in the cricket match between Southland Boys’ High School and King’s High School, which was played here to-day. Southland batted first and made 186. King’s in the first innings had lost six wickets for 104 when the tea adjournment was taken, but unfortunately, with the match at an interesting stage, there was no more play. During the tea adjournment rain began to fall and play was abandoned. It will be impossible to complete the match as the visitors have to return to Dunedin by the express in the morning.
