LARGE NUMBER RETURN TO COMBAT (Rec. 7 p.m.) NEW YORK, Mar. 21. Ninety-eight per cent, of sailors and marines wounded in three years of war have recovered, and 75 per cent, of marines have returned to active combat duties, said the Secretaiy of the Navy, Mr J. V. Forrestal, speaking at a Red Cross luncheon. He added that it was easy to speak ot the losses on Iwo Jima as being 19,900, forgetting that 15,300 of that total were wounded, of whom 7000 had returned to their divisions before the fall of Iwo Jima.
