ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Dunedin branch of the W.D.F.U. was held in the Otago Pioneer Women’s Memorial Hall ori Tuesday afternoon. The president, Mrs Eric Skinner, presided. The annual report stated that the year had been a very successful one, the members assisting in every way to make the meetings a success. A number of interesting addresses had been given by visil- « ing and local speakers. The bring-and-buy sales held at each meeting had resulted in the sum of £23 being handed over to the Navy League to buy comforts for the men of the merchant navy,, and the minesweepers, £5 to go towards the Merchant Seamen’s Hostel at Port Chalmers. "Te Kiteroa,” the newlyacquired rest home of the Women’s Division., was to be officially opened at Waimate on Saturday, April 7. The rest homes were proving of great value to the country woman who was in need of a change and a rest. Two esteemed members had died during the year, Mrs S. M. Park, a foundation member, and Mrs Stuart Moore, a past president. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance. sheet, Mrs Skinner congratulated the branch on the excellent work done during the year, and , thanked all members for their co-opera-tion. Miss M. Dallas seconded the motion, which was carried. There was no election of office-bearers, - as the following will remain in office for the duration of the war:—President. Mrs F.ric Skinner: vice-presidents. Mrs R. H. Timmings and Miss Dallas: advisory members. Mrs E. Skinner and Mrs I. W. Cowie; committee—Mesdames H. S. Reid, T. Morgan, H. Evans, and Miss A. Mee; secre-tary-treasurer, Mrs J. J. Leatham.
