MONTHLY MEETING Mr Henry Hay (president) occupied the chair at the monthly meeting of the North Otago Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and there were also present—Mesdames Williams, Hart. Miss Day. Messrs W. Williams, A. Creagh, A. Stock, and F. Flett. Inspector Flett reported that no complaints had been received during the month. Inspector Stock reported that he had destroyed five cats and three dogs at. the lethal chamber. He had found good homes for two dogs. A complaint iiad been received about a horse not being properly fed, but on investigation he had found no cause for complaint. He had received a complaint concerning a deformed calf in the reserve, and as the owner could not be found he applied for authority to have it destroyed.
