RUGBY REFEREES

ANNUAL MEETING Mr R. Hedges (president) was in the chair at the annual meeting of the North Otago Rugby Referees’ Association on Monday night. There were also present Messrs L. V. Bryant, C. Campbell, J. Palmer, J. Macmillan, E. Lapslie, F. Williamson, G. P. Cuttriss, and the secretary (Mr H. Cross).

The membership subscription was again fixed at 2s 6d, with 2s levy for parcels to members overseas.

Mrs J. M. Bee wrote thanking the association for parcels sent to her son, who is a prisoner-of-war in Germany. The annual report and balance sheet, showing a satisfactory financial position, were adopted. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr E. Greaves: vice-president, Mr L. V. Bryant; secretary and treasurer, Mr H. Cross: trustees, Messrs J. Palmer and G. Knowles: honorary auditor, Mr N. H. Colquhoun; delegate to North Otago Rugby Union, Mr H. Cross: executive committee—Messrs J. Palmer, C. Campbell, R. Hedges, and F. Williamson; appointment board and grading committee, Messrs J. Macmillan and H. Cross. Complimentary reference was made to the good services given by Mr Cross to the association as secretary over a long period of years.
