CONFESSED TO MURDERS
ARKANSAS TAXI DRIVER WIFE AMONG VICTIMS (Rec. 11 p.m.) NEW YORK, Mar. 19. A taxi driver in Little Rock. Arkansas. confessed to murdering six people, including his wife. He is James Hall, who is 24. and also the proprietor of the Lonely Hearts Club for servicemen. In his possession was found a book containing the names and addresses of 50 women. Hall collected commission from the women after arranging meetings for them with servicemen. Hall was arrested last week after he murdered and burned the body of an Arkansas State building inspector. J. D Newcombe. Confessing to six murders. Hall said: “ I killed a negro woman in a hold-up when I was 17, and that started me off.” He confessed that he made less than £6O from the murders.
