FIRE CALLS
At 4.27 a.m. and again at 8.22 a.m yesterday the Central Fire Brigade turned out to automatic false alarms from the factory of McLeod Brothers. At noon the brigade answered a call to a house at 185 King Edward street, where some damage was done by a fire which broke out while a carpenter was burning off paint.
