THE ZONING OF MILK SUPPLY
Sir,—Does the zoning of the milk supply give the dairyman the right to deliver milk at any time in his particular zone? Since the Labour Government has brought in this zoning of milk, in our particular zone, embracing Barr street, Argyle street, Elgin road, and parts of Kenmure road, we have to be content to get our milk any time up to 12 noon. We are compelled to take it because no other milk man can deliver fresh milk in this zone. The only other milk we can get is bottled milk, and we do not all like it. Surely because a man has a certain district to himself he should not be allowed !o work it as he chooses. We do not mind having yesterday’s milk for breakfast, but I do think it is “ over the odds ” having milk delivered at 11 a.m. and 12 noon. I do hope that the ventilation of this matter may bring a long wanted improvement in our district.—l am, etc., Resident.
[Our correspondent should complain to (he Milk Zoning Committee, care of the Transport Department, in this city.—Ed O.D.T.]
