LEAFLETS DROPPED

WASHINGTON. (Rec. 11.45 p.m.) Mar. 17. Super-Fortresses dropped thousands of leaflets after the raids on Tokio and Osaka, urging the Japanese to overthrow their iyar lords or have their country destroyed. One leaflet which bears the picture of a huge black bomb warns that the bombings will continue, and says: “You are the ones who suffer to satisfy a selfish few men. Force your leaders to end a hopeless war. That is the best prevention against bombing.’' Another leaflet with pictures of Japanese industry and railway terminals, warns people to stay away from factories. military establishments, power plants, and railways, and says that America's objective is not to harm the people, but all military objectives must be destroyed to render the military clique powerless.
