MR DE VALERA, MR NASH, AND MR SULLIVAN
Sir,—The visit of Mr Sullivan to Dublin is causing some concern to your correspondent. “ Hush Hush." A former visit by Mr Nash is also recalled by him. It. is not quite clear whether it is a case of paying off some old score against Messrs Nash and Sullivan—or is it against Mr de Valera? Your correspondent would, I feel sure, be interested to know that, according to Sir Shane Leslie, the number of Irishmen serving in the Allied Nations' armed forces is just on 250,000. To date seven Victoria Crosses have been awarded. This is not a bad record for a country with a small population. I sincerely hope that your correspondent won t make this a hush hush policy.—l am; etc.. Interested.
