COURT STATISTICS
The court statistics for 1944 in Dunedin show an increase in the number of criminal cases heard compared with the previous year’s total, but a decrease in the number of civil claims. There was also a decrease in the number of applications heard by the Dunedin and Dunedin South Licensing Committees. The following table shows the business dealt with by the vaiious courts for the two years:—
