AUCKLAND HOSPITALS
URGENT STAFFING NEEDS
CALL-UP OF SINGLE WOMEN (P A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 5. Auckland is to take the same steps for staffing its new hospitals as have already been taken in Wellington. All unmarried women aged 21 to 23 in the Auckland man-power district are to be called for interview immediately and classified in order of priority, having regard to individual circumstances, and directed to meet the urgent staffing needs of the Thirty-ninth General Hospital. This announcement was made to-day by the Minister of Industrial Manpower, Mr A. McLagan.
